This is Physical Therapy, but different. Its a philosophy that addresses your individual body, and develops a strategy based on what you say and how you move. Tony is a Boise native and a proud graduate of Boise State University. He later pursued his doctorate from the prestigious Loma Linda University. He practiced for 6 years in Boise and later accepted a residency position in Steamboat Springs Colorado. Tony is excited to bring his knowledge and eclectic style back to Boise. At only a few days old I had surgery to correct club feet. While I was lucky enough to be able to walk, I had reoccurring issues with my ankles and Achilles tendon for most of my life. I went to countless podiatrists and physical therapists to deal with the issues. In most cases I was met with a head scratch and a shot in the dark "go-to" of replacing my orthotic. Tony Book was the first person who was able to figure out what was actually going on. Tony discovered the solution because he really listened and was willing to work with me to address the issue at hand. He wasn't looking for the quick fix and was willing to try various approaches until he found a solution. I came to Tony with a bad attitude about physical therapy. He and I worked together to figure out why I was in so much pain in my spine. I was scheduled to have L3-S1 spinal surgery to alleviate the pain that I had been having from 49 years of horse training. I showed him and told him about the pain and wrecks that I've had. With Tony's help, guidance and knowledge I was able to alleviate all the spinal pain and now, for the last month, I have not had any type of pain. His guidance and knowledge have been amazing. Without Tony and his knowledge of FMT I would have gone through a back surgery that I didn't need and would have been laid up at least 4 months. With his knowledge, I can continue training horses and dogs and moving hay and heavy bags of feed and saddles. I have been completely pain-free for over a month now. I had a couple of tough injuries (including a broken hip at 46 years old) that I did not fully recover from, even after a couple of years. These injuries kept me from enjoying snowboarding and other outdoor activities I love. I had done what doctors and other Physical Therapists had told to me to do and never got back to 100%, not even 60% of normal. I gave Tony Book and the methods he was using a try. The change has been impressive. I had less pain and more range of motion after the first session. After a quick cycle of sessions I was back to snowboarding at a level I wasn’t able to for years, really having fun again. My range of motion vastly increased and pain almost totally gone now while enjoying the outdoors again. The techniques Tony uses had an immediate impact for me.
